S- But they were hearing only, "He who formerly persecuted us now preaches the faith he once tried to destroy." And they glorified God in me.
O- They could only remember what they knew but could not see what they didn't know. They couldn't believe in the transformation...perhaps they felt threatened by righteousness.
A- Sometimes we can become discouraged when other's don't see our growth, or transformation after a time in our life of immaturity, or maybe back sliding. I believe this may be because they feel threatened by what God has in store for us. What is important is that I can't depend on man to edify and I can't allow man's ignorance or lack of grace bring me down and keep me from being all that God has intended me to be.
P-Father I pray for those who are threatened by another's growth and potential. Help them to learn to rejoice and to have peace that the Kingdom has plenty of room for us all. That there is much to do here and that You have a plan and a purpose for all of us. Help those who are threatened by another to trust You to place them exactly where You purpose them to be and that we all are important no matter how big or how small our ministry or purpose may seem to us. Help us to learn to rejoice for one another, to edify each other and encourage and equip one another to fulfill Your purpose for each of us. Amen!
