S: I have considered my ways and have turned my steps to Your statutes.  I will hasten and not delay to obey Your commands.

O: *The Psalmist lists all he has done through versus 57-59...he has promised, he has considered, and he has sought.
        * He promises to obey God's Word, but promises we break....
*SO, he then sought God's face because he can't keep his promise and needs God to be gracious to him
        * Next, he considers all he has done and how he has gone about trying to please God
*Lastly, he realizes that he has considered his ways and they have failed him and he needs to obey God as quickly as possible.  He needs to hasten to obey God's commands.

A: That is typical of me.  I promise to obey God and His Word, but inevitably I fail because making promises doesn't change my heart.  So, then I must seek Him and His face to receive His grace to live for Him.  And as I am gifted His grace, I must consider my ways and come to the conclusion  that my way doesn't work and I must follow God's way.  As I do that, God meets me and shows me what I need to do, and then I must choose to obey hastily.  I cannot delay in my obedience.

P:  WOW!  God, my eyes were opened.   You have sown me what it looks like for me t choose obedience to You.  I am so thankful You how me my ways are futile, but that Yours are life-bringing!  May I surrender my will to Yours continually!

Wow! I got something totally different. I love how you saw that the psalmist realized he couldn't keep his promises so he needs to hasten and obey God! How many times do we get pressured by people who are attacking us, or ridiculing us and we want to respond in our flesh and now we are breaking those promises to God! I'm gonna go back and read it again from your insight! I think we can glean from both...I believe we can be bold when we are walking with God because He speaks of a good conscience in 1 Peter chapter 3, but it is true that we also break our promises to God and find ourselves in a place that we don't want to be in and God opens our eyes (GPS like Shari shared) and we must use that warning to get us back on the correct path!
