S: I know, O Lord, that Your laws are righteous. and in faithfulness You have afflicted me. May Your unfailing love be my comfort, according to Your promise to Your servant. Let Your compassion come to me that I may live, for Your law is my delight. May the arrogant be put to shame for wronging me without cause, but I will meditate on Your precepts.
O: *God's affliction is His faithfulness
* We need to view affliction differently...not as something horrible, but as something that draws us closer to Him
* The Psalmist considers shame to be worse than affliction
A: When I am afflicted, I have to shift my focus of that affliction. Rather than consider it a hardship, I have to look at it as an opportunity for growth in the Lord and an opportunity to draw hear to Him.
P: God, during hardship, I want my focus to be on You. I don't want my gaze to be locked on my trouble. But I want it to be an opportunity to go deeper with You!
