S-I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.
O-Marvel at their turning away. (tasted and seen)...A different gospel (following man)...stirring up trouble...pervert gospel
A- I too marvel at the idea that anyone can taste and see what it is like to be a child of God and turn away back into the world, or if Christian from young years and as a young adult walk away. The truth is, is their eyes are on man and not on God. They seek after a different gospel, maybe one that justifies how they desire to live, or maybe they follow a man who has promised them great things, or maybe they have a close relationship and in spite of what they are doing wrong rather than to deal with the true problem they stir up trouble for another. What ever the case may be there is only one Gospel. The Gospel of Jesus Christ...the Good News of Jesus Christ (Salvation)...
P- Lord help me to always keep my eyes open for the true gospel. So many are deceived, let that not be so for me. Help me to continue to find time to be in Your Word that I may not be deceived. Give me a hunger and a thirst to be in Your word, to study, learn, understand and have great wisdom that no one be able to deceive me. If I am believing untruths, put a spirit in my bones that says something is not right about this doctrine that I would never be in a place that teaches another Gospel. I want only the one true Gospel.
